CAS RETIREMENT WORKSHOP

The program will start 5:00pm at the Long Island Marriot.

CAS will continue to sponsor Financial Literacy workshops for our members focused on Retirement, College Planning, Social Security, and tax shelter programs commonly offered by school districts to administrative employees such as the Roth IRA, various 403(B) and 457 plans.

TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED:

• Topics discussed included choosing a retirement option.

• Understanding your in-service death benefit.

• Prior service and out of state service, unused sick days.

• Employer-sponsored non-elective and elective 403(B) plans.

• Understanding all pension tiers, and member benefit calculations.
